Lying in the East London borough of Redbridge, Wanstead is a leafy area with a suburban feel due to its high proportion of green spaces. Such open spaces include the woodland of Wanstead Park, which was once part of the estate of Wanstead House, one of the premier Palladian stately homes in the UK – so much so that it was penned as the ‘English Versailles’.
